MPNews future plans
Can MessagePixels please outline their plans for ongoing development of
MPNews? The last update was released by Mark back in October last year.
Mark released regular updates but since MessagePixels has taken over there
has been no updates or even any news on future updates.

Re: MPNews future plans
Sorry for the silence, we've been heads-down with a number of projects.

The current version is 5.0.0.54 which MessagePixels officially released in late November 2007.  It had some minor fixes to issues with automatic registration and moderation queues as well as rebranding.

We are currently working on a number of enhancements and extensions.  I'll outline a few here and provide more details as we approach announcements:

-- Minor bug fixes - always working on issues you report.  In many cases we are issuing minor fixes to customers encountering the problem and incorporating into next release.

-- Integrations - working with several customers and prospects on integration to other systems.  These include "single sign-on" solutions for authenticating users from other websites, integrating with customer databases on other servers, and integrating with CRM systems.  We are doing these in more efficient and standard ways and will provide documentation to make such integrations much easier in the future.

-- Templates - working to update, standardize, and simplify templates. Again, more customers want to "repackage" forums on the web while still providing newsreader access so standardization and simplification are important.

We're also considering more extensive enhancements for a bigger release.  If you have suggestions, please utilize the "WishList" group to explain and comment on ideas.

And sorry to keep asking but I am still concerned about the future of
MPNews. It is two months since your reply and there has been no more
details about any updates, let alone any new releases.

Mark used to release updates just about every month to fix bugs or add new
features, but there hasn't been an update to MPNews for about 6 months. Are
there really no more bugs to fix?

Re: MPNews future plans
We've been working with individual customers as issues arise.  We're also working on new templates, new integrations, and new features that are in limited customer hands now but rolling out this summer.
