How do I sync rss/atom feed with password protection
Hi:
How do I set up my virtual server (hosted at newsgrouphosting.com) so that a
rss reader can access the various groups?  All groups are password protected.
Thanks.

You will have to allow the use of "Basic" authentication for web access - this will allow the RSS reader to provide the required username and password when downloading the RSS feed.

To allow basic authentication, go to the "Web access" properties screen. On the "Security" tab, select the "Basic" option as well as the existing "Form" option.

Thank you, Mark.  That worked.

From the little I have used of the software, I am very, very impressed.  Your
configuration completely integrates web browser, newsreader, blog, and mailing
list interfaces.  Did I leave anything out?  {grin}

Oh, yes.  Any plans for https support?

Glad you like it. I think that covers it, for the moment... :-)

Yes, we can do that at the moment. You'll need to supply us with an SSL certificate though - let me know if you'd like me to generate a certificate signing request for you.
